New Editor for Trends

IASOC extends its deep appreciation to James Finckenauer, who shaped and nurtured Trend in Organized Crime for the past five years. Jim has handed the editorial reigns over to Klaus von Lampe, (Free University Berlin, Germany). To reflect the international aspects of Trends, Klaus has appointed two co-editors. Jeff McIllwain (San Diego State University, USA) will serve as the American editor, and Dina Siegel, (Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, Netherlands) will serve as the European editor. We welcome this new structure and greatly appreciate the efforts of these editors. Along with Klaus, Jeff and Dina, the following editorial board members have been named:

New Publisher for Trends

IASOC is pleased to announce a new publisher for Trends in Organized Crime. Springer has taken over the publication of Trends as a part of a comprehensive agreement involving all Transaction journals. The change will bring important advances to our publication. Springer will not only offer Trends in print version but shortly plans to provide an online version via Springerlink, the web portal for all Springer publications. Over time, Springer plans on providing back issues of the journal for members and others interested in the journal.

Future Volumes

Two special issues are currently in preparation, one tentavely entitled "50 years after Apaliachin" edited by Jeff McIllwain, and one tentatively entitled "Interviewing organized criminals" edited by Klaus von Lampe.Suggestions for future special issues are welcome. A general call for papers is also open. Submissions should be sent electronically to Klaus von Lampe (editor@trends-in-organized-crime.net).
