IASOC Annual Meeting 2011
Thursday, 17 November 2011, 3:30 - 4:50 pm, International Ballroom East, Concourse Level, at the Washington Hilton Hotel, Washington D.C., in conjunction with the annual meeting of the American Society of Criminology (ASC).
The International Association for the Study of Organized Crime (IASOC) holds an annual meeting each year. It is normally held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the American Society of Criminology each November.
The agenda of IASOC meetings includes:
- A business meeting with discussion of the organization's efforts during the past year and a forum to discuss new ideas for the coming year.
- A presentation from a known scholar or professional working in the field of organized crime research or practice
- The IASOC Awards presented for outstanding contributions to the study of organized crime.
- Several separate panel presentations occur throughout the ASC meeting, in which researchers and professionals present their findings to the academic and professional community.
